Phil Dussol is the master of conveying motion and speed, his works displayed impactful speed velocity. Phil is also a master in roller blading, his skills not only let him achieved world records, but takes him all the way to the film industry. He learnt about camera, rigs, lenses and filmmaking while doing stunts on big features (Die Hard III, Highlander…)
In 2000 he began directing commercials in Europe, Asia and USA. His car spots displayed motion and speed that make powerful impact, and always adding a touch of elegant French sensibility and intelligence, creating a stylish yet sleek but trilling effect in his works. It’s a “glamorous take on motion”.
“Easy money” was the award winning project that launched Phil’s film directing career. It was noticed by Columbia Pictures and by David Fincher for its technical mastery and interesting framing. As a result, Phil was asked to shoot some original sequences for the feature film “Lords of Dogtown” (2005).
Phil won “Best Young director” at Cannes awards for a Mercedes Benz spot. Mercedes displayed innovative car cinematography, with dangerous stunts, action sequences and road trips to extreme places.
